Optimization Model for Planning and Scheduling of Perishable Fish Product Supply Chain

In the global supply chain system it is required to integrate production scheduling and distribution planning, in order to be more efficient and to get more economics advantages. This paper presents seafood production planning and scheduling of a fishery manufacture company which produces simultaneously multi kind of seafood products from several classes of raw fish resources. The perishability nature of fish highly restricts its storage duration and delivery conditions. The location of the research for this paper is located at Eastern coast of North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The production and distribution planning problem aims to meet customer demand subject to several restriction. We formulate the problem as a mixed integer linear program model. The result model is solved using neighborhood direct search approach.
